StarTripper!!

about our cast & crew

julian mundy.jpg

Julian Mundy

Creator, head writer, director, Producer, visual & graphic artist, voice of Kaasil Saar & others

Julian is the creator and writer of StarTripper!! and not, as rumor has it, an escaped genetic experiment. Julian is one of the award-winning writers of time travel audio drama ars PARADOXICA, and is proud to present his first outing as a show-runner! Coming from a film and writing background, combined with a love of animation and audio drama, Julian has always wanted to push the boundaries of storytelling. To go down roads less traveled, and see something new every day, is the dream. In that way, StarTripper!! is a dream project, and when Julian isn’t dodging the galactic authorities for crimes against existence itself, he is plotting new ways to get his favorite starship crew into trouble. He hopes to keep it up for a long time, and with the advances in cybernetics these days, we could be talking centuries. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Ian McQuown

Producer, writer, director, voice of feston

Ian is a long time actor, producer & podcaster. You may have seen him in early 2010’s YouTube funnies with the sketch comedy group Extremely Decent. He has also appeared regularly on fan favorite podcasts The Bright Sessions, The AM Archives, and Deck The Halls with Matrimony! Or you may even have caught him Riff Raffing in the L.A. based underground Rocky Horror spoof, Rocky Horror Hipster Show.

A die hard sci-fi fan with a lot of energy, co-producing StarTripper!! and voicing Feston Pyxis is a dream. A fun fact: the effort sounds of Feston Pyxis rolling down the grassy hill in Season One’s “Ready To Launch” are really the sounds of Ian actually bouncing off of the walls of Mischa’s recording booth in Burbank, CA. Suffice it to say, he was born to play Feston, the intergalactic screwball.

sierra shay.jpg

Sierra Shay

Voice of Proxy

Sierra is a Peruvian-born, St. Louis native. She started acting very young and got her roots in musical theatre. After graduating Emerson College, she moved out to L.A. and since then has appeared in several projects. You can catch her guest starring on GirlShipTV's short film, Whale Hello There!” and co-starring in their upcoming webseries, Carol's A Demon. Her other webseries/film projects include in Nation of One, Sisterhood, and The Bastards. Most recently, Sierra can be seen in Ulta Beauty stores Nationwide for their holiday '18 campaign. In her free time, you can catch Sierra perfecting her right hook at the Academy of Theatrical Combat, or ordering way more sushi than is humanly possible to eat. This is her first venture into the world of podcasting and she is very excited to explore the universe of StarTripper!!

Sammi Lappin

voice of Serena

Sammi is a loud Boston native whose love of storytelling is rooted in classic and musical theatre. After graduating with a B.F.A. in Acting from Syracuse University, Sammi reanchored her life in L.A as an actor, writer and producer.

Sammi co-founded Peridot Rose Productions in 2016 has produced and led Lemon Drop (out now on Amazon Prime) and The Way It Is and the Way It Used to Be (coming 2021). You can find Sammi's voice on improv podcast Low Budget Radio Show, and audio dramas ars Paradoxica, The Bright Sessions, and Sentinels: Point of No Return.

When she's not making art, Sammi does anti-racist, arts education, and medical advocacy work with WP4BL, JusticeLA, the #InsulinforAll campaign, and Camp del Corazon, to name a few.

Sammi is completely obsessed with the StarTripper!! team and beyond grateful for the opportunity to keep playing with them. If you can't find Sammi in any of the places above, she is likely in the woods looking at birds and eating cheese.

Chijioke Williams

voice of haegan

Chijioke has loved stories for as long as she can remember. The ability to connect the author and audience fascinates her endlessly, and she suspects that nothing is more central to the human experience than storytelling. Chi has been hosting a live radio show, Status Quo, for the past five years, during which she has immersed herself in audio drama and begun to write her own. Chijioke seeks to combine her experience as a journalist with her work in radio fiction to bring depth to the characters she writes and the worlds she builds. Chi's hobbies are parkour, sound design, and subverting societal expectations. She now lives in Chicago, where she can be found engaging in all three.

mischa stanton.jpg

Mischa Stanton

producer, writer, director, Sound Designer, Additional voices

Mischa thought making podcasts was hard before. None of those other shows can hold a candle to the sheer mountain of work they do bringing the soundscapes of StarTripper!! to life, but the joy they receive from the finished product makes it all 100% worth it. Mischa is a full-time podcaster, splitting time between big network shows like MARVELS, LeVar Burton Reads and Imagined Life, and indie darlings like The Bright Sessions, ars PARADOXICA, and Unwell: A Midwestern Gothic Mystery. They are currently serving as Senior Audio Editor at Multitude and a designer for Airship’s History Daily.
